My name is Aizaz Kabir Alif, and I am from Khulna, Bangladesh. I am a Computer Engineer and currently serve as a Business Development Executive at Tally Solutions Bangladesh.
I am a passionate collector of matchboxes. Although matchboxes were once a common household item in Bangladesh, they have now become increasingly rare. Having used matchboxes since childhood, my appreciation for them has deepened over time, gradually evolving into a dedicated collecting interest.
Displayed here are selected paper-wrapped matchbox dozens from my personal collection. The dozens featured in this exhibition were produced in Bangladesh and are now almost completely out of use. These items represent a small yet meaningful part of our everyday history and reflect a time when such objects were an integral part of daily life.
